Residents of member communities may drop off their household hazardous waste at the facility year-round. See website for more information on the program.
Open on the first and third Saturdays April through November, 8:00 a.m. to noon.
2015 dates are April 4 through November 21.
Note - Household Hazardous Waste Collection will NOT occur on Saturday, July 4, 2015. HHW will be closed to observe the Independence Day holiday.

The Home Toxics Center is a facility where Washtenaw County residents can dispose of Household Hazardous Waste. Household Hazardous Waste includes paint, household cleaners, automotive fluids, batteries, and more. The items must not have been used for a business, government entity, or other organization. Pesticides are accepted regardless of residency or use.

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Drop-Off
Numerous materials used in the home, garage, and garden are considered household hazardous waste, or HHW for short (see below for a complete list). They can cause serious safety and health problems in transportation and for disposal facilities. These materials should not be placed in your trash. Instead, Lancaster County residents can bring these materials to LCSWMA’s HHW Facility for free. No commercial haulers or business waste accepted.
