Description: According to Chapter 30 of the Code city-wide trash service is required. Trash service must be maintained by the owner or possessor of any occupied residence, duplex, or multifamily dwelling or other building operated or used for a residential, commercial or industrial use. Services must be performed by an authorized collector. Beginning June 1, 2016, the City entered into solid waste contract with Republic Services as the sole authorized provider for waste collection and disposal and residential curbside single stream recycling within the City of Jefferson. Contact Republic for all of your solid waste needs. Items such as automotive parts, hazardous materials, whole tires, and trees/yard waste cannot be collected.
