Description: This is a self-serve, indoor, drop-off center for clean and sorted recyclables. Open to all households and businesses; fees may apply, read below. Please stop in for a tour and learn the best way to recycle from friendly people who can answer your questions. We are here to help! FREE RECYCLING Recycle only: cardboard, styrofoam, batteries – no charge. Non-profit and community groups can recycle all materials free. RECYCLING FEES Annual membership recommended for households who use our center all their recycling needs. This is a one time fee, good for an entire year. Regular:$45 Super Recycler: $65 For household recycling without membership: $2 per visit. Electronic Waste Recycling: Up to $0.25 per pound. (not included with membership or door fee) Business: Annual membership based on materials to be recycled and quantities. Business membership plans range from $45 to $125 per year. Invoices and receipts can be provided. Please note that we accept cardboard recycling free. We can handle large quantities.

Senate Bill 12-133, known as the “Electronic Recycling Jobs Act,” prohibits the disposal of waste electronic devices (e-waste) in Colorado as of July 1, 2013. This new law will have sweeping implications for consumers and home business operators throughout the state. Industry, non-home-based businesses, government agencies, institutions and schools already are subject to restrictions on disposal of electronic waste. Genesis Electronics Recycling in located in Denver, CO and ready to support your electronic waste recycling needs and support the Senate Bill for Colorado. Genesis Electronics Recycling is a member of Colorado Association for Recycling (CAFR), Building Owners and Managers Association's (BOMA), and registered with Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE). What devices are banned from Colorado landfills? “Waste electronic devices” include television sets, central processing units (CPUs), computer monitors, peripherals, printers, fax machines, laptops, notebooks, ultra books, net books, electronic tablets, digital video disc players, video cassette recorders and video display devices with a screen greater than four inches. Genesis Electronics Recycling has a complete list and any associated fees required to recycling any and all of your electronics. Does the ban affect the entire state? Yes. Genesis Electronics Recycling is located in the Denver, Colorado area we provide event support, collection boxes, and pick ups to help process your e-waste safely. Why are these materials being banned from landfills? Electronic devices contain a number of hazardous constituents, such as lead, mercury, arsenic, cadmium, chromium and silver. Computer batteries also may contain nickel- cadmium, lithium or sealed lead acid. These materials are not a concern when the equipment is in use, but these harmful chemicals could migrate if disposed in a landfill, contaminating groundwater and soil. Genesis Electronics Recycling prides itself in being a 0% landfill recycling firm. All components are recycled one way or another. If I can’t throw these devices away, how can I dispose of them legally? It may be possible to donate or re-sell working electronic devices, although even this option is becoming more difficult as thrift stores become more discriminating about what they will accept. The most environmentally responsible option is recycling, through a community collection event, or a reputable electronics recycling firm. How can I protect my personal data? You are solely responsible for protecting personal information stored on the hard drive of computers or printers prior to recycling.
