Remove label booklets, plastic shrink-wrap labels, and caps; dispose of as solid waste. Be sure to rinse caps before disposing of them
A single layer of glued-on paper labels may remain on the container
Bags of containers must be stored to avoid exposure to the elements
Do not bale or crush containers
15-, 30-, and 55-Gallon Drum Requirements
Do not cut drums open
Drums can be stored outside, but should be stacked on their sides to prevent rain from entering the bung hole

The Lamoille Regional Solid Waste Management District is mission driven to reduce the quantity and toxicity of the trash being generated and sent to the landfill. Twelve member towns make up the LRSWMD: Belvidere, Cambridge, Craftsbury, Eden, Elmore, Hyde Park, Johnson, Morrisville, Stowe, Waterville, Wolcott, and Worcester.
The LRSWMD operates six transfer stations across the District that are open to the public for trash, recycling, and management of special wastes and are open to the public. Meet Recycle Livingston, the only non-profit recycling drop off center serving the community since 1989. And we are still committed to reducing the flow of solid waste to local landfills today, even expanding our program to include many hard to recycle items such as household batteries, Styrofoam, latex paint, clothing (usable and unusable), shoes, among other things. Since our beginning, we have relied on volunteer support so we can provide our services at a minimal cost and be available to everyone. Many of the items we accept are difficult and expensive to recycle.
We recycle VHS/Cassette/DVD/Hard drives/floppy discs for $.30/lb for members, $.50/lb for non-members. We also offer confidential paper shredding available for $.50/lb for members and $.75/lb for non-members. Televisions, computers, and miscellaneous electronics are also recycled here however please call for the pricing schedule as it changes. Latex paint is $3 per gallon and $1 per quart sized or smaller. Many of the other items we accept for recycling have no additional fees other than membership fees or gate fees.
Memberships are available for $40/year for regular households and $30/year for persons 62 or older. Or you can choose to pay the $10 gate fee to come and visit our site. The best part...every material we accept is 100% recycled.
