Curbside Garbage, Compost and Recycling Collection
Please place your garbage, compost and recycling out at the curb by 6:00am the day of your scheduled pickup.
Set recycling out so that it is visible to the route driver.
Make sure compost cans are clearly marked and visible to the route driver.
Prohibited Items: The following items cannot be picked up due to landfill or safety regulations.

Paint cans can only be taken if completely empty or paint is completely dry and hardened.
It must be set out next to garbage with lids off so driver can verify condition.
Any item that contains Freon. Freon must be removed by certified technician and have a tag with technicians license number on it. Once the Freon is removed and item is tagged, you can call us and schedule pickup. Appliance Place in Waterford provides this service. 248-683-3397

Before doing so, check on the availability of #5 municipal recycling services in your area. To make this mail-in recycling program as environmentally-friendly as possible, we encourage you to reuse a box and pack it densely, and if possible, ship by ground.
