Services Provided: Lucas County recycling Drop Off The District offers many local drop off sites throughout Lucas County for recycling of paper, cardboard, and containers. Household Hazardous Waste, Electronics, & Latex Paint This service is available to all Lucas County residents and is limited to individual households by appointment only. The Fee associated is $1.00 per one gallon of latex paint and $1.00 per pound of oil based paint or other hazardous waste. Description: This is a self-serve, indoor, drop-off center for clean and sorted recyclables. Open to all households and businesses; fees may apply, read below. Please stop in for a tour and learn the best way to recycle from friendly people who can answer your questions. We are here to help! FREE RECYCLING Recycle only: cardboard, styrofoam, batteries – no charge. Non-profit and community groups can recycle all materials free. RECYCLING FEES Annual membership recommended for households who use our center all their recycling needs. This is a one time fee, good for an entire year. Regular:$45 Super Recycler: $65 For household recycling without membership: $2 per visit. Electronic Waste Recycling: Up to $0.25 per pound. (not included with membership or door fee) Business: Annual membership based on materials to be recycled and quantities. Business membership plans range from $45 to $125 per year. Invoices and receipts can be provided. Please note that we accept cardboard recycling free. We can handle large quantities.

Residents can bring in thier household garbage and recyclables, plus other items. Items accepted for recycling include: Glass bottles sorted by color, rinsed, lids removed Accepting All Plastics: all plastics #1 through #5 and #7. No number #6 - Sorry No Styrofoam. Newspaper and inserts, loose or bundled Magazines and junk mail Clean corrugated cardboard, no wax coated and please flatten boxes Aluminum cans and clean aluminum foil Rinsed tin cans now go into the scrap metal box Used motor oil and oil filters (5 gallons or less per visit accepted in 1 gallon containers) Household and automotive batteries Latex paint (5 gallons or less per visit) Textiles - Clothes and shoes Yard waste (2 cubic yards per day per resident; under 4 inch diameter and 4 feet long accepted) Scrap metal and appliances--NO COMMERCIAL Sharps (In approved bio-hazard containers in the kiosks.) NO mattresses or box springs are accepted Electronic Equipment is Acceptable at the Recycling Centers as long it can safely go into the Compactor Boxes. Oversized Electronics will need to be brought to the Baseline Landfill for Proper Disposal. No Business generated E-waste accepted. NO furniture except on designated days
