Description: The Village of Leonard is an incorporated Michigan community located in Oakland County, Michigan. The Village contracts with a waste hauler and recycler to provide for the curbside waste removal and recycled material recycling. Every single family residence in the Village is eligible for this service. Currently, the pick-up day is Friday of each week. Residents may buy a waste container from the hauler for their use at a minimal cost by contacting the current service provider. Recycling containers are also provided at minimal cost by contacting the current service provider. Sunrise Management Services currently provides waste and recycling services in the Village. Michiana Recycling & Disposal Services takes care of recycling in the Village of Marcellus. They provide "recycling bags" to Village Residents who pay for their service. These bags can be placed in or alongside the trash cart. Description: Compost facility on County Rd 10 near 1st Street. Dump for Mead Residents Only. Tree branches, weeds, leaves and grass clippings are the only items permitted. A roll-off is onsite to dispose of iron / metal products. Mead Clean Up Day held in May or June annually. Roll-offs placed in front of village office. At that time we will take batteries, paint, etc., plus all other items, other than construction refuse, tires, trash or anything that can be disposed of on the regular garbage disposal route. This event is open to Mead residents only.

While this is a benefit to our community, there are guidelines, set by the Ohio EPA, that must be followed in order to continue this facility. • All leaves, flowers and shrubbery trimmings should be left on the designated leaf pile. • All tree branches and brush should be left on the designated brush pile. • No dumping of construction or demolition debris is allowed. • No materials are to be removed from this site without prior approval of the Village.
