Description: The Solid Waste District provides two sites for electronics recycling -- one in Michigan City at 1027 Hitchcock Road, and one at our office in La Porte. Acceptable items for drop-off include (but is not limited to) computers, monitors, printers, TVs, VCRs, DVD players, microwaves, copiers, stereos, keyboards, mice, cell phones, electronic games, CDs, and DVDs. Please bring your electronic item as far into the trailer as possible so there will be enough room for other items. Do not leave any non-electronics at this site.

Senate Bill 12-133, known as the “Electronic Recycling Jobs Act,” prohibits the disposal of waste electronic devices (e-waste) in Colorado as of July 1, 2013. This new law will have sweeping implications for consumers and home business operators throughout the state. Industry, non-home-based businesses, government agencies, institutions and schools already are subject to restrictions on disposal of electronic waste. Genesis Electronics Recycling in located in Denver, CO and ready to support your electronic waste recycling needs and support the Senate Bill for Colorado.
