Description: To develop and enhance programs which enable residents to easily recycle common household wastes as well as assist business and industry with the implementation of waste reduction and recycling programs, with programs/services to reduce, reuse, and recycle. Services Provided: Lucas County recycling Drop Off The District offers many local drop off sites throughout Lucas County for recycling of paper, cardboard, and containers. Household Hazardous Waste, Electronics, & Latex Paint This service is available to all Lucas County residents and is limited to individual households by appointment only. The Fee associated is $1.00 per one gallon of latex paint and $1.00 per pound of oil based paint or other hazardous waste. Description: Maria, founder of Unlimited Recycling established in 1999, is a “One-Stop-Shop” company specializing in waste disposal management, waste assessments and recycling services for solid, universal, sorted office and organic waste. The high demand and awareness in waste reduction/recycling has given the company an opportunity to expand services into building cleanouts. In addition, they offer equipment rental, including compactors, balers and dumpster roll-off services. Maria is an Alumni member of Stanford Graduate School Of Business of Stanford, CA and a mentor for the Stanford University Hispanic Entrepreneurship Program. She graduated from the Stanford Latino Entrepreneurs Leader Program in Cohort #3, winning Unlimited Recycling, Inc. 1st place in SLELP 2016 video competition. Unlimited Recycling has been recognized by the State of Michigan Governor Rick Snyder, and the Macomb Regional PTAC for her determination, efforts and success. In addition, she received excellent ratings from the United States Army for the completion of a 5-year waste and recycling contract. Unlimited Recycling graduated with honors from the SBA 8(a) program in 2012 and is currently a member of MDOT, Wayne County Airport Authority, WEBNC and Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
