Description: Program for residents to dispose of household chemicals, paint and many other materials. NISWMD is not equipped to handle credit or debit cards. Fees must be paid with cash or check. NOTE: A trained technician is on staff to assure proper handling of all materials brought to the Friday morning HHW collection program.

Description: The La Porte County Solid Waste District was formed in 1991 to reconcile the abundance of materials entering the waste stream. In addition to providing recycling services with the goal of waste reduction, the district is also involved in assuring the disposal capacity of the remaining solid wastes generated in the District.
