During operating hours at the Corydon Facility a district employee will be on-site to help you with your materials. Please do not leave recyclables when the centers are closed. Dumped materials make a big mess.

Please consult the downloadable brochure for your county on this website to confirm exact collection dates and times. Residents of the Southeastern Indiana Recycling District may dispose of HHW year-round (during regular business hours) at the Jefferson County Recycling Center in Madison. SEIRD Recycle Centers no longer accept any oil-based paints and stains except on designated HHW collection days. Any unlabeled/unidentifiable items or latex paints can no longer be accepted. Fluorescent tubes and bulbs are the only HHW drop off items accepted at this recycling center during normal business hours. There is $1.00 per bulb charge for businesses and organizations. Residents may drop off medical waste, such as syringes or unused medicines at any of three pharmacies in Scott County: Medical Arts Pharmacy, Hancock's Pharmacy, or Austin Pharmacy. Controlled and non-controlled medications may be dropped off at the Scott Co. Sheriff's Office 24 hours a day/7 days a week at no charge. The Scott Co. Recycling Center is also the location of the Scott County Reuse Center. Residents are encouraged to drop off clean, reusable items in good repair during the center’s normal business hours listed below. While you’re there, “shop” for items that are available to you at no charge.* *Four items, five books, and unlimited amounts of clothing may be acquired in one 20-minute visit permitted each week. Reusing is the ultimate in recycling! Items must not be resold.
