Description: To develop and enhance programs which enable residents to easily recycle common household wastes as well as assist business and industry with the implementation of waste reduction and recycling programs, with programs/services to reduce, reuse, and recycle. Services Provided: Lucas County recycling Drop Off The District offers many local drop off sites throughout Lucas County for recycling of paper, cardboard, and containers. Household Hazardous Waste, Electronics, & Latex Paint This service is available to all Lucas County residents and is limited to individual households by appointment only. The Fee associated is $1.00 per one gallon of latex paint and $1.00 per pound of oil based paint or other hazardous waste. Description: We manage 7 full service Area Collection Stations as well as the Dunn County Transfer Station and Recycling Center. We are committed to the environment by keeping materials out of the landfill. Besides recycling standard items such as paper and #1 & #2 plastics, residents can also recycle electronics, appliances, motor oil and filters, rechargeable batteries, sharps and more. ReCyclone, Dunn County's recycling mascot, works with the community to promote waste reduction and recycling efforts through education. ReCyclone, "a force of nature for nature" has been spotted at schools, civic organizations, fairs, parades, and festivals.

Description: Beginning January 1, 2011, Indiana households, public schools, and small businesses will no longer be able to mix unwanted computer monitors, computers, televisions, printers, computer peripherals (such as keyboards and mice), DVD players, video cassette recorders or fax machines with municipal waste that is intended for disposal at a landfill or intended for disposal by burning or incineration.
