Description: Bins located at : Stony Plain Rotary Recycling centre which is at the listed address. *** Blue bags *** Curbside recycling must be put into blue bags that will be picked up. Materials don't have to be sorted. Yard trimming goes into a separate container meant for yard trimmings. Every second week on the same day as your regular garbage collection day. Simply place your Blue Bag(s) where your usual garbage collection is picked up prior to 7:00 a.m. What can go in the blue bag: - Newsprint/Heavy paper (place in separate grocery bag) - Newspaper - Magazines - Phone books - Catalogues/Mixed Paper/ Boxboard - Office paper - Cereal boxes - Pasta boxes Please no shredded paper! - Corrugated Cardboard: should be collapsed flat and placed beneath the blue bag or bundled together and placed beside the blue bag. - Containers (clean with lids discarded) - Milk jugs / cartons - Tin food cans - Refundable beverage containers - Bottles / containers Please refer to recycling resin codes on plastic items. Code numbers 1, 2, 3 & 5 are acceptable for the blue bag. Description: Call town directly regarding curbside collection and household hazardous waste round-up HAZARDOUS WASTE ROUND-UP At the back of the Innisfail Fire Hall - 4955-53 Street Take this opportunity and check your kitchen, bathroom, laundry, basement, garden shed and garage. Round up your household hazardous wastes that you no longer use (eg. aerosols, paints, cleaning fluids, solvents, pharmaceuticals, propane cylinders) and bring them down to the Innisfail Fire Hall for proper disposal. Any container that cautions about careful use of the product or its disposal should be included in this \"Round-Up\". E-Waste is also accepted. ‘Round-Ups’ occur in Innisfail twice a year – in the Spring and Fall. Call 403-227-3376 for more information. YARD WASTE PICK-UP: From April to October of each year, yard waste for the entire town is picked up on Mondays, at regular garbage pickup sites (curbside or back alley). Yard waste must be placed in biodegradable bags (available at local hardware stores – Home Hardware and Co-op Home Center) or in re-usable containers clearly marked ‘Yard Waste’ by 7:00 am on Mondays. Plastic bags are not allowed. These containers, filled with yard waste, must not exceed 50 lbs (23 kg). Overweight containers will NOT be picked up. Acceptable ‘yard waste’ includes grass clippings, bedding plants, weeds, and leaves. Tree branches and shrub trimmings are NOT acceptable. Tree branches and yard waste can be taken to the Waste Transfer Station during operating hours for those who decide not to use Monday pickup program. CURBSIDE GARBAGE COLLECTION: All households must pay a month fee for garbage pick-up. They must call the City to arrange. The collection is contracted out to Canadian Waste Management Services and the waste is currently shipped to Red Deer
