Description: Meet Recycle Livingston, the only non-profit recycling drop off center serving the community since 1989. And we are still committed to reducing the flow of solid waste to local landfills today, even expanding our program to include many hard to recycle items such as household batteries, Styrofoam, latex paint, clothing (usable and unusable), shoes, among other things. Since our beginning, we have relied on volunteer support so we can provide our services at a minimal cost and be available to everyone. Many of the items we accept are difficult and expensive to recycle. We recycle VHS/Cassette/DVD/Hard drives/floppy discs for $.30/lb and have confidential paper shredding available for $.50/lb. Televisions, computers, and miscellaneous electronics are also recycled here however please call for the pricing schedule as it changes. Latex paint is $2 per container. All other items we accept for recycling have no additional fees other than membership fees or gate fees. Memberships are available for $30/year for regular households and $25/year for persons 62 or older. Or you can choose to pay the $3 gate fee to come and visit our site. The best part...every material we accept is 100% recycled. We look forward to meeting you.... "You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make" ~~Jane Goodall

Description: The Eaton County Department of Resource Recovery (ECDRR) is the designated implementing agency responsible for the development and administration of the County Waste Management Plan under Public Act 641. In 1993, a Solid Waste Ordinance was enacted in Eaton County with the purpose of protecting and promoting public health, safety and welfare of residents. Through the Solid Waste Ordinance, solid waste collection, transportation, delivery and disposal can be regulated, residents and businesses are provided incentives to recycle in order to reduce the volume of solid waste disposed, and the environment is preserved and improved. ECDRR is a resource to Eaton County residents. Tips on recycling, reuse and waste reduction are readily available during office hours, Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm at (517) 543-3686. Special collection events are organized each year to accommodate the proper disposal of wastes such as Household Hazardous Waste, Electronics, Scrap Tires, Books, and more. Year-round programs include Collection Points for the following: Household Batteries, Cell Phones, Mercury Thermometers, and Cooking Oil Recovery. The Freon Recovery Credit Program and a Medical Sharps Mail-Back Program are also available. ECDRR provides information from local recycling centers but each center operates under the municipality in which it resides. For answers to questions on recycling in your neighborhood, call your local city or village hall. **We do not accept materials at our office. Our events are one-day events hosted three times per year. The locations of the events vary & their use is for Eaton County residential, non-commercial use only.**

Description: The Marquette County Solid Waste Management Authority is a dual stream recycling facility. Via a residential curbside collection and drop off service, we receive recyclable materials in two streams: Fiber and Rigid. We operate a small scale MRF and baler on site. Rigid (plastic/metal/glass), materials are separated in the MRF. Glass and ferrous material is removed. Currently we market a 1-7 bale product. Our fiber product is a residential mix comprised of OCC and mixed paper. This product is baled on site and shipped to market. Currently, we receive 155/TPM. 70% Fiber and 30% Rigid. The overall goal of the program is to provide a cost effective recycling option for the municipalities of Marquette County, local school districts/universities, and civic groups. The program is available to those who choose to participate. Currently, 15 of the 22 municipalities of Marquette County participate in our dual stream program.
