Special Highlight: Earth Day is April 22! Thank you to Ms. Murphy’s class, who has been discussing environmental topics during their time at home this month. A special shoutout also goes to Marie, who shared the following information and more with her class about batteries and battery recycling: • The toxins and chemicals contained within batteries can lead to water and air pollution as well as adverse impacts to human health if improperly disposed. Therefore, it is important to always check with your local recycler for proper battery recycling and disposal options! Remember to always first look for options such as reducing your battery usage and using rechargeable instead of single use batteries. Check out the directory or the links above to find locations that accept batteries for recycling near you.
